Families in Ontario, California Come to Master’s Ranch for Their Teens Who Need a New Start in Life
Master’s Ranch is a new home for adolescent boys who need proper direction to make a new start for themselves. The boarding school with counseling focuses on the value of work, which is taught through ranch chores, daily chores in the dorms and kitchen, and an outstanding vocational program. Boys live in a structured environment, learning obedience and personal responsibility. We treat education as a privilege, and we teach boys to look at it the same way.
We begin with physical exercise to bring boys up to a standard level of fitness. They gain muscle, they have a reason to feel good about about themselves, and they experience something positive as they begin to see progress in their fitness goals. Those achievements carry over into other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in school, their accomplishments build confidence so that boys are built up. Meanwhile, we help boys come to terms with the ramifications of their past choices. Their thinking clears and their destructive behavior turns into character and integrity. At Master’s Ranch, we give boys every opportunity to be successful.
Our Residents Have a Home-Like Environment at Master’s Ranch
Teens at Master’s Ranch Christian Boarding School feel at home here. We operate like a family, loving these boys no matter what and walking through the days right with them, coaching and teaching them. We offer pastoral counseling and person-to-person mentorship and spiritual direction.
Teens have access to regular devotions and weekly church services, so they have opportunities to ask questions about God and experience a relationship with Jesus. Many of our boys think of the Bosleys, the directors at Master’s Ranch, as their second family and a large percentage come back to work on the ranch or to spend time with us. We have a lot of fun on the ranch, as well. Residents spend a great deal of time camping, playing sports, and generally learning how to have healthy fun again.
