Families in Los Alamitos, California Come to Master’s Ranch for Their Teens Who Need a New Direction in Life
Master’s Ranch is a home away from home for boys who need proper direction to change the course of their lives. The boarding school with counseling emphasizes the value of work, which is taught through animal husbandry, regular chores in the dorms and kitchen, and an outstanding vocational program. Boys live in a disciplined environment, learning respect for authority and personal responsibility. We view education as a privilege, and we teach boys to view it the same way.
We begin with physical exercise with the goal of bringing boys up to a minimum level of fitness. They build strength, they have a reason to feel good about about themselves, and they experience something positive as they begin to see progress in their fitness goals. Those achievements carry over into other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in academics, their positive experiences develop confidence so that boys are built up. Meanwhile, we help boys understand the results of their past actions. Their thinking clears and their destructive behavior disappears, replaced with character and integrity. At Master’s Ranch, we give boys every opportunity to be successful.
Boys Enjoy a Home-Like Environment at Master’s Ranch
Boys at Master’s Ranch Christian Boarding School feel at home here. We operate like a family, loving these boys unconditionally and going through the days right with them, coaching and instructing them. We offer biblical counseling and ongoing mentoring and spiritual direction.
Teens have access to regular devotions and weekly church services, so they have the chance to ask questions about life and discover a relationship with Jesus. Many of our boys consider the Bosleys, the directors at Master’s Ranch, as their second family and many come back to help or to spend time with us. We enjoy ourselves on the ranch, too. Residents spend a great deal of their weekends and free time camping, playing sports, and generally learning how to enjoy wholesome fun again.

Los Alamitos is a small city in Orange County, California. The city was incorporated in March 1960. The population was 11,449 at the 2010 census, down from 11,536 at the 2000 census. It is often mistakenly thought to include the adjacent but unincorporated community of Rossmoor (population just under 11,000) which uses Los Alamitos as its mailing address. Although Rossmoor is not part of Los Alamitos, it is speculated that it may be annexed to the city, or Rossmoor, Seal Beach, and Los Alamitos will combine to form one city.
