Families in Loranger, Louisiana Come to Master’s Ranch for Their Sons Who Need a New Path in Life
Master’s Ranch is a second home for teenage boys who need proper direction to turn their lives around. The program makes much of the value of work, demonstrated through ranch chores, assigned chores in the kitchen and dorms, and a strong vocational program. Boys live in a disciplined environment, learning obedience and personal responsibility. We view education as a privilege, and we teach boys to look at it the same way.
We start with physical exercise with the goal of bringing boys up to a basic level of fitness. They gain strength, their self-respect improves, and they gain something positive as they begin to meet fitness goals. The same concepts also work well in other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in academics, their accomplishments develop confidence so that boys are built up. Meanwhile, we help boys understand the consequences of their past choices. Their thinking straightens out and their inappropriate behavior is replaced with character and integrity. At Master’s Ranch, we give boys every opportunity to be successful.
Teens Live in a Home-Like Environment at Master’s Ranch
Teens at Master’s Ranch Christian Boarding School feel at home here. We run like a family, caring for these boys through their struggles and walking through the days alongside them, coaching and training them. We offer biblical counseling and life-on-life mentoring and spiritual direction.
Teens have access to daily devotions and weekly church services, so they have the chance to ask questions about life and discover a relationship with Jesus. Many of our boys think of the Bosleys, the directors at Master’s Ranch, as their second family and a large percentage come back to help or to visit. We have a lot of fun on the ranch, as well. Residents spend a lot of their weekends and free time fishing, playing sports, and generally learning how to enjoy wholesome fun again.
