Families in Independence, Louisiana Select Master’s Ranch for Their Sons Who Need a New Direction in Life
Master’s Ranch is a home away from home for teenage boys who need proper direction to change the course of their lives. The boarding school with counseling makes much of the value of work, taught through animal husbandry, assigned chores in the kitchen and dorms, and an extensive vocational program. Boys live in a disciplined environment, learning respect for authority and personal responsibility. We view education as a privilege, and we teach boys to look at it the same way.
We start right away with physical training to bring boys up to a minimum level of fitness. They gain strength, their self-esteem improves, and they experience a positive achievement as they begin to meet fitness goals. Those achievements carry over into other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in academics, their positive experiences build confidence so that boys are built up. Meanwhile, we help boys come to terms with the consequences of their past actions. Their thinking straightens out and their inappropriate behavior disappears, replaced with character and integrity.Teens at Master’s Ranch have a reason to succeed.
Boys Enjoy a Family-Like Environment at Master’s Ranch
Adolescents at Master’s Ranch Christian Boarding School feel at home here. We operate like a family, caring for these boys unconditionally and going through the days alongside them, coaching and teaching them. We provide group and individual counseling and life-on-life mentoring and spiritual guidance.
Boys participate in regular devotions and weekly church services, so they have the chance to ask questions about God and discover a relationship with Jesus. Many of our boys think of the Bosleys, the directors at Master’s Ranch, as their second parents and a large percentage come back to work on the ranch or to visit. We have a lot of fun on the ranch, as well. Residents spend a great deal of their free time fishing, playing sports, and generally learning how to have good clean fun again.
