Master’s Ranch is a home away from home for teenage boys who need proper direction to turn their lives around. The boarding school emphasizes the value of work, taught through agricultural work, daily chores in the kitchen and dorms, and an outstanding vocational program. Boys live in a disciplined environment, learning obedience and personal responsibility. We view education as a privilege, and we teach boys to think about it the same way.

Master's Ranch Christian AcademyWe begin with physical training with the goal of bringing boys up to a minimum level of fitness. They develop muscle, their self-esteem improves, and they gain something positive as they begin to see progress in their fitness goals. Those achievements carry over into other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in academics, their positive experiences develop confidence so that boys are built up. Meanwhile, we help boys comprehend the ramifications of their past choices. Their thinking clears and their destructive behavior is replaced with character and integrity.Teens at Master’s Ranch have a reason to succeed.

Residents take part in regular devotions and weekly church services, so they have opportunities to ask questions about God and experience a relationship with Jesus. Many of our boys think of the Bosleys, the directors at Master’s Ranch, as their second family and many come back to help or to spend time with us. We enjoy ourselves on the ranch, too. Students spend a great deal of their free time hunting, playing sports, and just learning how to enjoy wholesome fun again.

More about therapeutic schools in or near Hillsboro, Oregon:

Hillsboro is the fifth-largest city in the U.S. state of Oregon and is the county seat of Washington County. Lying in the Tualatin Valley on the west side of the Portland metropolitan area, the city is home to many high-technology companies, such as Intel, that compose what has become known as the Silicon Forest. As of the 2010 Census, the city’s population was 91,611.
For thousands of years before the arrival of European-American settlers, the Atfalati tribe of the Kalapuya lived in the Tualatin Valley near the later site of Hillsboro. The climate, moderated by marine influence from the Pacific Ocean, helped make the region suitable for fishing, hunting, food gathering, and agriculture. Settlers founded a community here in 1842, later named after David Hill, an Oregon politician. Transportation by riverboat on the Tualatin River was part of Hillsboro’s settler economy. A railroad reached the area in the early 1870s and an interurban electric railway about four decades later. These railways, as well as highways, aided the slow growth of the city to about 2,000 people by 1910 and about 5,000 by 1950, before the arrival of high-tech companies in the 1980s.
Hillsboro has a council-manager government consisting of a city manager and a city council headed by a mayor. In addition to high-tech industry, sectors important to Hillsboro’s economy are health care, retail sales, and agriculture, including grapes and wineries. The city operates more than twenty parks and the mixed-use Hillsboro Stadium, and nine sites in the city are listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). Modes of transportation include private vehicles, public buses and light rail, and aircraft using the Hillsboro Airport. The city is home to Pacific University’s Health Professions Campus. Notable residents include two Oregon governors.
