Families in Grants Pass, Oregon Select Master’s Ranch for Their Teens Who Need a New Direction in Life
Master’s Ranch is a home away from home for adolescent boys who need proper direction to turn their lives around. The therapeutic program emphasizes the value of work, which is taught through involvement with the ranch, regular chores in the dorms and kitchen, and an outstanding vocational program. Boys live in a disciplined environment, learning respect for authority and personal responsibility. We view education as a privilege, and we teach boys to think about it the same way.
We begin with physical training with the goal of bringing boys up to a standard level of fitness. They develop muscle, their self-esteem improves, and they experience a positive achievement as they begin to meet fitness goals. Those achievements carry over into other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in their education, their achievements build confidence so that boys are built up. Meanwhile, we help boys realize the consequences of their past choices. Their thinking straightens out and their inappropriate behavior disappears, replaced with character and integrity.Teens at Master’s Ranch have a reason to succeed.
Boys Enjoy a Family-Like Environment at Master’s Ranch
Teenagers at Master’s Ranch Christian Boarding School feel at home here. We work like a family, caring for these boys no matter what and walking through the days beside them, coaching and instructing them. We provide group and individual counseling and ongoing mentorship and spiritual direction.
Residents have access to regular devotions and weekly church services, so they have opportunities to ask questions about life and choose a relationship with Jesus. Many of our boys think of the Bosleys, the directors at Master’s Ranch, as their second family and a large percentage come back to help or to visit. We enjoy ourselves on the ranch, too. Residents spend a great deal of time camping, playing sports, and just learning how to enjoy healthy fun again.
