Families in Forest Grove, Oregon Come to Master’s Ranch for Their Boys Who Need a New Start in Life
Master’s Ranch is a new home for boys who need proper direction to change the course of their lives. The program focuses on the value of work, taught through animal husbandry, regular chores in the dorms and kitchen, and an extensive vocational program. Boys live in a disciplined environment, learning respect for authority and personal responsibility. We view education as a privilege, and we teach boys to view it the same way.
We start with physical training with the goal of bringing boys up to a basic level of fitness. They build strength, their self-esteem improves, and they experience something positive as they begin to see progress in their fitness goals. Those achievements carry over into other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in school, their positive experiences bolster confidence so that boys are built up. Meanwhile, we help boys realize the results of their past behaviors. Their thinking clears and their destructive behavior disappears, replaced with character and integrity. Master’s Ranch gives boys a reason to succeed.
Teens Live in a Family-Like Environment at Master’s Ranch
Teenagers at Master’s Ranch Christian Boarding School feel at home here. We run like a family, loving these boys through their struggles and walking through the days right with them, coaching and training them. We offer group and individual counseling and life-on-life mentorship and spiritual direction.
Students take part in daily devotions and weekly church services, so they have the chance to ask questions about God and discover a relationship with Jesus. Many of our boys adopt the Bosleys, the directors at Master’s Ranch, as their second family and a large percentage come back to work on the ranch or to visit. We enjoy ourselves on the ranch, too. Boys spend a great deal of their weekends and free time fishing, playing sports, and just learning how to enjoy healthy fun again.
