We have qualified teachers on staff who offer instruction and one-on-one tutoring assistance to the students. At Master’s Ranch, we accommodate both ends of the academic spectrum. The flexible curriculum allows students who may be struggling with certain subjects to master them and catch up. Advanced coursework and a college-prep programs are ready for those who excel academically and desire to get ahead.
Our boarding school operates year-round, to keep students involved and to give them the chance to catch up or retake courses and improve their grade point average. During the summers we run a half-day academic regimen to allow time for projects, sports and recreation.
After the boys are at the ranch for a time, they have a chance for work experience in select businesses nearby. It allows them to try out their new coping skills and to earn money to help them once they leave the ranch. Every dime they earn is put into a fund that they take home with them when they leave. The ranch itself also offers some industries for the boys young men to learn from, including handling the cattle, construction, pedigree dog breeding, and farming. The boys are trained marketable skills and a real sense of accomplishment from these opportunities.
Teens take part in regular devotions and weekly church services, so they have the chance to ask questions about life and experience a relationship with Jesus. We provide group and individual counseling and person-to-person mentorship and spiritual direction.
