Students spend a great deal of their free time hunting, playing sports, and generally learning how to enjoy wholesome fun again.
We begin with physical exercise to bring boys up to a minimum level of fitness. They develop muscle, their self-esteem improves, and they gain something positive as they begin to meet fitness goals. Those achievements carry over into other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in academics, their achievements bolster confidence so that boys are built up.

We have excellent teachers on our personnel who offer instruction and one-on-one tutoring attention to the students. At Master’s Ranch, we accommodate both ends of the academic spectrum. The self-paced curriculum allows students who may be struggling with certain courses to accomplish them and catch up. Advanced coursework and a college-prep programs are scheduled for those who succeed academically and desire to get ahead.
Our boarding academy operates year-round, to keep students involved and to give them the chance to catch up or retake courses and improve their grade point average. All summer we run a partial academic schedule to allow time for projects, sports and recreation.
After the boys are at the ranch for a time, they have opportunities for work experience in the local economy. It allows them to try out their new coping skills and to earn money to help them once they leave the ranch. Every dollar they earn is put into an account that they take home with them when they go home. The ranch itself also offers some vocational opportunities for the boys young men to learn from, including handling the cattle, construction, pedigree dog breeding, and farming. The boys gain marketable skills and a real sense of accomplishment from these opportunities.
Boys have access to regular devotions and weekly church services, so they have opportunities to ask questions about God and choose a relationship with Jesus. We provide pastoral counseling and person-to-person mentoring and spiritual direction.
