Throughout each boy’s stay, we engage them constantly as a friend they can talk to freely, making therapy non-threatening and ongoing in a more natural environment. We start with physical exercise to bring boys up to a standard level of fitness. They develop muscle, their self-respect improves, and they gain something positive as they begin to meet fitness goals. The same concepts also work well in other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in their education, their accomplishments develop confidence so that boys are built up.
MRCA goes beyond trqditional boarding schools in that it helps boys to mentally understand the consequences of bad behaviors. Their thinking clears and their inappropriate behavior is replaced with character and integrity. Teens at Master’s Ranch have a reason to succeed.

The flexible curriculum allows students who may be struggling with certain subjects to accomplish them and catch up. Advanced coursework and a college-prep programs are ready for those who succeed academically and desire to get ahead.
Our residential academic program operates year-round, to keep students engaged and to give them the chance to catch up or retake courses and improve their grade point average. All summer we run a half-day academic regimen to allow time for projects, sports and recreation.
Boys who have improved their actions and have become trustworthy are given a chance for vocational experience in the local economy. It allows them to exercise their new coping skills and to earn money to help them once they leave the ranch. The wage they earn is put into a fund that they withdraw when they leave. The ranch itself also provides some industries for the boys young men to learn from, including handling the cattle, construction, pedigree dog breeding, and farming. The boys are trained marketable skills and a real sense of accomplishment from these opportunities.
Residents participate in regular devotions and weekly church services, so they have the chance to ask questions about God and experience a relationship with Jesus. We give biblical counseling and person-to-person mentorship and spiritual direction.
