We begin with physical training with the goal of bringing boys up to a basic level of fitness. They build strength, they have a reason to feel good about themselves, and they experience a positive achievement as they begin to meet fitness goals. The same concepts also work well in other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in academics, their achievements bolster confidence so that boys are built up.

We have excellent teachers on staff who offer instruction and one-on-one tutoring assistance to the students. At Master’s Ranch, we accomplish both ends of the academic spectrum. Advanced coursework and a college-prep programs are scheduled for those who succeed academically and wish to get ahead.
Our residential academic program operates year-round, to keep students involved and to give them the opportunity to catch up or retake courses and improve their grade point average. During the summers we run a shortened academic regimen to allow time for projects, sports and recreation.
Boys who have improved their actions and have become trustworthy are given a chance for work experience in select businesses nearby. It allows them to try out their new coping skills and to earn money to help them once they leave the ranch. Every dime they earn is put into a fund that they take home with them when they go home. The ranch itself also offers some industries for the boys young men to learn from, including handling the cattle, construction, pedigree dog breeding, and farming. The boys gain marketable skills and a real sense of accomplishment from these endeavors.
Teens take part in regular devotions and weekly church services, so they have opportunities to ask questions about life and discover a relationship with Jesus. We give group and individual counseling and person-to-person mentoring and spiritual guidance.
