We have certified teachers on staff who provide instruction and one-on-one tutoring attention to the students. At Master’s Ranch, we accomplish both ends of the academic spectrum. The self-paced curriculum allows students who may be having difficulty with certain courses to master them and catch up. Advanced coursework and a college-prep programs are ready for those who succeed academically and wish to get ahead.
Our boarding school operates year-round, to keep students involved and to give them the chance to catch up or retake courses and improve their grade point average. During normal summer break we run a partial academic schedule to allow time for projects, sports and recreation.
Boys who have improved their actions and have become trustworthy are given a chance for work experience in select businesses nearby. It allows them to exercise their new coping skills and to earn money to help them once they leave the ranch. Every dollar they earn is put into a fund that they withdraw when they go home. The ranch itself also provides some vocational opportunities for the boys young men to learn from, including handling the cattle, construction, pedigree dog breeding, and farming. The boys gain marketable skills and a real sense of accomplishment from these endeavors.
Teens participate in regular devotions and weekly church services, so they have the chance to ask questions about life and choose a relationship with Jesus. We offer pastoral counseling and person-to-person mentorship and spiritual guidance.
