In work projects and vocational skills and even in their education, their positive experiences build confidence so that boys are built up.
MRCA goes beyond trqditional boarding schools in that it helps young men to mentally understand the results of bad actions. Their thinking clears and their inappropriate behavior is replaced with character and integrity. At Master’s Ranch, we give boys every opportunity to be successful.
We have qualified teachers on our personnel who offer instruction and one-on-one tutoring attention to the students. At Master’s Ranch, we accommodate both ends of the academic spectrum. The flexible curriculum allows students who may be struggling with certain subjects to accomplish them and catch up. Advanced coursework and a college-prep programs are available for those who succeed academically and wish to get ahead.
Our boarding academy operates year-round, to keep students engaged and to give them the opportunity to catch up or retake courses and improve their grade point average. All summer we run a partial academic regimen to allow time for projects, sports and recreation.
Boys who have improved their actions and have become trustworthy are given opportunities for work experience in select businesses nearby. It allows them to try out their new coping skills and to earn money to help them once they leave the ranch. Every dime they earn is put into an account that they withdraw when they leave. The ranch itself also provides some industries for the boys young men to learn from, including handling the cattle, construction, pedigree dog breeding, and farming. The boys gain marketable skills and a real sense of accomplishment from these endeavors.
Students have access to daily devotions and weekly church services, so they have the chance to ask questions about God and discover a relationship with Jesus. We give group and individual counseling and person-to-person mentoring and spiritual direction.
