Boys spend a lot of their weekends and free time hunting, playing sports, and generally learning how to have healthy fun again.
We start with physical training to bring boys up to a basic level of fitness. They gain strength, their self-esteem improves, and they gain something positive as they begin to see progress in their fitness goals. Those achievements carry over into other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in academics, their positive experiences bolster confidence so that boys are built up.

We have certified teachers on our personnel who offer instruction and one-on-one tutoring assistance to the students. At Master’s Ranch, we accomplish both ends of the academic spectrum. The flexible curriculum allows students who may be having difficulty with certain subjects to master them and catch up. Advanced coursework and a college-prep programs are ready for those who excel academically and desire to get ahead.
Our boarding academy operates year-round, to keep students involved and to give them the chance to catch up or retake courses and improve their grade point average. All summer we run a partial academic schedule to allow time for projects, sports and recreation.
Boys who have improved their actions and have become trustworthy are given a chance for work experience in select businesses nearby. It allows them to try out their new coping skills and to earn money to help them once they leave the ranch. The wage they earn is put into an account that they take home with them when they go home. The ranch itself also provides some industries for the boys young men to learn from, including handling the cattle, construction, pedigree dog breeding, and farming. The boys are trained marketable skills and a self-confidence from these endeavors.
Teens have access to regular devotions and weekly church services, so they have opportunities to ask questions about life and experience a relationship with Jesus. We give group and individual counseling and life-on-life mentorship and spiritual direction.
