If your teen has started down a road to disaster, he could use someone to confide in who will hear him and speak truth to him without judgment. We provide therapy throughout the week, both one-on-one and also group counseling sessions. Throughout each boy’s stay, we engage them constantly as a friend they can talk to freely, making therapy non-threatening and ongoing in a more natural environment. We maintain a watchful eye, especially in the early days, but we do so while surrounding them with loving care and encouraging them toward a personal relationship with God. We work like a family, loving these boys unconditionally and going through the days beside them, coaching and leading them.

Physical Training

They build strength, they feel good about themselves, and they gain something positive as they begin to meet fitness goals. The same concepts also work well in other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in academics, their achievements bolster confidence so that boys are built up.

MRCA goes beyond trqditional boarding schools in that it helps boys to mentally comprehend the consequences of bad actions. Their thinking straightens out and their inappropriate behavior is replaced with character and integrity. At Master’s Ranch, we give boys every opportunity to be successful.

Academic Training

ranch for reforming boysWe have certified teachers on staff who offer instruction and one-on-one tutoring assistance to the students. At Master’s Ranch, we accommodate both ends of the academic spectrum. The flexible curriculum allows students who may be struggling with certain subjects to master them and catch up. Advanced coursework and a college-prep programs are available for those who excel academically and desire to get ahead.

Our residential academic program operates year-round, to keep students involved and to give them the chance to catch up or retake courses and improve their grade point average. All summer we run a half-day academic schedule to allow time for projects, sports and recreation.

Vocational Training

It allows them to try out their new coping skills and to earn money to help them once they leave the ranch. Every dollar they earn is put into a fund that they take home with them when they go home.  The ranch itself also offers some vocational opportunities for the boys young men to learn from, including handling the cattle, construction, pedigree dog breeding, and farming. The boys gain marketable skills and a self-confidence from these opportunities.
