We start right away with physical training with the goal of bringing boys up to a minimum level of fitness. They develop strength, they feel good about themselves, and they experience something positive as they begin to see progress in their fitness goals. Those achievements carry over into other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in academics, their positive experiences bolster confidence so that boys are built up.

We have certified teachers on staff who provide instruction and one-on-one tutoring assistance to the students. At Master’s Ranch, we accommodate both ends of the academic spectrum. Advanced coursework and a college-prep programs are ready for those who succeed academically and desire to get ahead.
Our boarding academy operates year-round, to keep students involved and to give them the opportunity to catch up or retake courses and improve their grade point average. During the summers we run a shortened academic regimen to allow time for projects, sports and recreation.
Boys who have improved their actions and have become trustworthy are given opportunities for vocational experience in the local economy. It allows them to exercise their new coping skills and to earn money to help them once they leave the ranch. Every dime they earn is put into an account that they withdraw when they leave. The ranch itself also provides some industries for the boys young men to learn from, including handling the cattle, construction, pedigree dog breeding, and farming. The boys are trained marketable skills and a self-confidence from these opportunities.
Residents participate in regular devotions and weekly church services, so they have opportunities to ask questions about God and discover a relationship with Jesus. We provide group and individual counseling and person-to-person mentorship and spiritual direction.
