We have certified teachers on our personnel who provide instruction and one-on-one tutoring assistance to the students. At Master’s Ranch, we focus on both ends of the academic spectrum. The self-paced curriculum allows students who may be struggling with certain subjects to master them and catch up. Advanced coursework and a college-prep programs are ready for those who excel academically and desire to get ahead.
Our boarding school operates year-round, to keep students engaged and to give them the opportunity to catch up or retake courses and improve their grade point average. All summer we run a partial academic schedule to allow time for projects, sports and recreation.
After the boys are at the ranch for a time, they have a chance for work experience in the local economy. It allows them to try out their new coping skills and to earn money to help them once they leave the ranch. Every dollar they earn is put into a fund that they take home with them when they go home. The ranch itself also offers some vocational opportunities for the boys young men to learn from, including handling the cattle, construction, pedigree dog breeding, and farming. The boys gain marketable skills and a real sense of accomplishment from these endeavors.
Teens have access to daily devotions and weekly church services, so they have the chance to ask questions about life and choose a relationship with Jesus. We offer group and individual counseling and ongoing mentoring and spiritual direction.
