Advanced coursework and a college-prep programs are ready for those who excel academically and wish to get ahead.
Our boarding academy operates year-round, to keep students involved and to give them the chance to catch up or retake courses and improve their grade point average. During the summers we run a shortened academic schedule to allow time for projects, sports and recreation.
After the boys are at the ranch for a time, they have a chance for vocational experience in select businesses nearby. It allows them to exercise their new coping skills and to earn money to help them once they leave the ranch. Every dollar they earn is put into an account that they withdraw when they leave. The ranch itself also offers some vocational opportunities for the boys young men to learn from, including handling the cattle, construction, pedigree dog breeding, and farming. The boys are trained marketable skills and a real sense of accomplishment from these opportunities.
Boys take part in regular devotions and weekly church services, so they have opportunities to ask questions about God and experience a relationship with Jesus. We provide biblical counseling and person-to-person mentorship and spiritual guidance.
