We begin with physical training to bring boys up to a basic level of fitness. They develop muscle, they feel good about themselves, and they experience something positive as they begin to meet fitness goals. The same concepts also work well in other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in school, their achievements build confidence so that boys are built up.

The flexible curriculum allows students who may be struggling with certain subjects to accomplish them and catch up. Advanced coursework and a college-prep programs are scheduled for those who excel academically and wish to get ahead.
Our residential academic program operates year-round, to keep students involved and to give them the chance to catch up or retake courses and improve their grade point average. During normal summer break we run a partial academic schedule to allow time for projects, sports and recreation.
After the boys are at the ranch for a time, they have opportunities for work experience in the local economy. It allows them to exercise their new coping skills and to earn money to help them once they leave the ranch. The wage they earn is put into a fund that they withdraw when they leave. The ranch itself also offers some vocational opportunities for the boys young men to learn from, including handling the cattle, construction, pedigree dog breeding, and farming. The boys are trained marketable skills and a self-confidence from these endeavors.
Residents take part in daily devotions and weekly church services, so they have the chance to ask questions about God and experience a relationship with Jesus. We offer biblical counseling and life-on-life mentoring and spiritual direction.
