We begin with physical exercise to bring boys up to a minimum level of fitness. They gain muscle, they have a reason to feel good about themselves, and they experience something positive as they begin to see progress in their fitness goals. The same concepts also work well in other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in academics, their accomplishments build confidence so that boys are built up.

Our boarding academy operates year-round, to keep students engaged and to give them the chance to catch up or retake courses and improve their grade point average. All summer we run a shortened academic schedule to allow time for projects, sports and recreation.
Boys who have improved their actions and have become trustworthy are given opportunities for vocational experience in the local economy. It allows them to try out their new coping skills and to earn money to help them once they leave the ranch. Every dollar they earn is put into an account that they take home with them when they leave. The ranch itself also offers some industries for the boys young men to learn from, including handling the cattle, construction, pedigree dog breeding, and farming. The boys are trained marketable skills and a self-confidence from these endeavors.
Boys have access to daily devotions and weekly church services, so they have the chance to ask questions about God and choose a relationship with Jesus. We offer biblical counseling and person-to-person mentorship and spiritual guidance.
