Master’s Ranch is a new home for teenage boys from places like Hudson, Wisconsin, who need proper direction to turn their lives around. Parents enroll their young men, age 12-17, to Master’s Ranch after seeing them begin a downward spiral which cannot be stopped by counseling alone.
Boys from Hudson, Wisconsin come to our boarding school to live in a structured environment, learning obedience and personal responsibility through a renewed focus on faith, caring for themselves and their future, and through caring for the animals on our ranch. We view education as a privilege, and we teach boys to view it in the same way.
Students spend a great deal of time outdoors, playing sports, and just learning how to enjoy wholesome fun again.
We begin with physical training to bring boys up to a minimum level of fitness. They build muscle, they have a reason to feel good about themselves, and they gain something positive as they begin to see progress in their fitness goals. Those achievements carry over into other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in school, their positive experiences build confidence so that boys are built up.
MRCA goes beyond trqditional boarding schools in that it helps young men to mentally comprehend the results of bad choices. Their thinking clears and their destructive behavior is replaced with character and integrity. Master’s Ranch gives boys a reason to succeed.
We have qualified teachers on staff who offer instruction and one-on-one tutoring attention to the students. At Master’s Ranch, we accommodate both ends of the academic spectrum. The self-paced curriculum allows students who may be having difficulty with certain courses to master them and catch up. Advanced coursework and a college-prep programs are available for those who succeed academically and wish to get ahead.
Our residential academic program operates year-round, to keep students involved and to give them the opportunity to catch up or retake courses and improve their grade point average. During normal summer break we run a partial academic schedule to allow time for projects, sports and recreation.
Boys who have improved their actions and have become trustworthy are given a chance for work experience in select businesses nearby. It allows them to exercise their new coping skills and to earn money to help them once they leave the ranch. Every dollar they earn is put into an account that they withdraw when they leave. The ranch itself also offers some industries for the boys young men to learn from, including handling the cattle, construction, pedigree dog breeding, and farming. The boys are trained marketable skills and a real sense of accomplishment from these endeavors.
Students participate in regular devotions and weekly church services, so they have the chance to ask questions about God and choose a relationship with Jesus. We provide pastoral counseling and life-on-life mentorship and spiritual guidance.

Hudson is a city in St. Croix County, Wisconsin, United States. As of the 2010 United States Census, its population was 12,719, making it the principal and largest Wisconsin city of the Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area.
