If your son has been getting into trouble, he could use someone to confide in who will hear him and speak truth to him without judgment. We provide therapy throughout the week, both one-on-one and also in a group setting. Throughout each boy’s stay, we engage them constantly as a friend they can talk to freely, making therapy non-threatening and ongoing in a more natural environment. We maintain a watchful eye, especially in the early days, but we do so while surrounding them with loving care and encouraging them toward a personal relationship with God. We operate like a family, caring for these boys through their struggles and going through the days beside them, coaching and leading them.

Students spend a lot of their weekends and free time fishing, playing sports, and just learning how to have healthy fun again.
We start with physical exercise with the goal of bringing boys up to a basic level of fitness. They build strength, they have a reason to feel good about themselves, and they gain something positive as they begin to see progress in their fitness goals. Those achievements carry over into other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in their education, their achievements build confidence so that boys are built up.
MRCA goes beyond trqditional boarding schools in that it helps boys to mentally come to terms with the consequences of bad choices. Their thinking clears and their inappropriate behavior disappears, replaced with character and integrity. Teens at Master’s Ranch have a reason to succeed.
We have certified teachers on staff who provide instruction and one-on-one tutoring attention to the students. At Master’s Ranch, we accommodate both ends of the academic spectrum. The self-paced curriculum allows students who may be struggling with certain subjects to master them and catch up. Advanced coursework and a college-prep programs are ready for those who excel academically and wish to get ahead.
Our residential academic program operates year-round, to keep students involved and to give them the opportunity to catch up or retake courses and improve their grade point average. During the summers we run a half-day academic schedule to allow time for projects, sports and recreation.
After the boys are at the ranch for a time, they have opportunities for work experience in the local economy. It allows them to try out their new coping skills and to earn money to help them once they leave the ranch. Every dollar they earn is put into an account that they withdraw when they leave. The ranch itself also provides some industries for the boys young men to learn from, including handling the cattle, construction, pedigree dog breeding, and farming. The boys are trained marketable skills and a real sense of accomplishment from these opportunities.
Students have access to regular devotions and weekly church services, so they have opportunities to ask questions about God and experience a relationship with Jesus. We provide biblical counseling and person-to-person mentorship and spiritual guidance.
