Our residential academic program operates year-round, to keep students involved and to give them the opportunity to catch up or retake courses and improve their grade point average. During the summers we run a partial academic schedule to allow time for projects, sports and recreation.
Boys who have improved their actions and have become trustworthy are given opportunities for work experience in the local economy. It allows them to try out their new coping skills and to earn money to help them once they leave the ranch. The wage they earn is put into a fund that they take home with them when they go home. The ranch itself also offers some industries for the boys young men to learn from, including handling the cattle, construction, pedigree dog breeding, and farming. The boys are trained marketable skills and a real sense of accomplishment from these opportunities.
Boys have access to regular devotions and weekly church services, so they have the chance to ask questions about life and choose a relationship with Jesus. We offer biblical counseling and ongoing mentorship and spiritual direction.
