If your son has been getting into trouble, he could use someone trustworthy who will listen to him and guide him without judgment. We provide counseling throughout the week, both one-on-one and also in a group setting. Throughout each boy’s stay, we engage them constantly as someone they can talk to freely, making therapy non-threatening and ongoing in a more natural environment. We maintain a watchful eye, especially in the early days, but we do so while giving them loving care and inspiring them toward a personal relationship with God. We are set up like a family, loving these boys unconditionally and going through the days beside them, coaching and training them.

Residents spend a great deal of their weekends and free time fishing, playing sports, and generally learning how to have wholesome fun again.

Physical Training

Master's Ranch Christian AcademyWe begin with physical training with the goal of bringing boys up to a minimum level of fitness. They develop strength, they feel good about themselves, and they experience a positive achievement as they begin to meet fitness goals. Those achievements carry over into other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in academics, their positive experiences develop confidence so that boys are built up.

Mental Training

MRCA goes beyond trqditional boarding schools in that it helps boys to mentally comprehend the consequences of bad behaviors. Their thinking straightens out and their destructive behavior turns into character and integrity. Teens at Master’s Ranch have a reason to succeed.

Academic Training

ranch for reforming boysWe have excellent teachers on staff who provide instruction and one-on-one tutoring assistance to the students. At Master’s Ranch, we accommodate both ends of the academic spectrum. The flexible curriculum allows students who may be struggling with certain courses to master them and catch up. Advanced coursework and a college-prep programs are available for those who succeed academically and desire to get ahead.

Our residential academic program operates year-round, to keep students engaged and to give them the opportunity to catch up or retake courses and improve their grade point average. All summer we run a partial academic schedule to allow time for projects, sports and recreation.

Vocational Training

boys ranch and homeAfter the boys are at the ranch for a time, they have a chance for work experience in the local economy. It allows them to try out their new coping skills and to earn money to help them once they leave the ranch. Every dime they earn is put into a fund that they withdraw when they go home.  The ranch itself also offers some industries for the boys young men to learn from, including handling the cattle, construction, pedigree dog breeding, and farming. The boys gain marketable skills and a self-confidence from these opportunities.

Spiritual Training

Teens take part in regular devotions and weekly church services, so they have the chance to ask questions about God and choose a relationship with Jesus.  We provide biblical counseling and person-to-person mentoring and spiritual direction.
