Our boarding school operates year-round, to keep students involved and to give them the chance to catch up or retake courses and improve their grade point average. During the summers we run a half-day academic schedule to allow time for projects, sports and recreation.
Boys who have improved their actions and have become trustworthy are given opportunities for work experience in the local economy. It allows them to try out their new coping skills and to earn money to help them once they leave the ranch. Every dollar they earn is put into a fund that they take home with them when they leave. The ranch itself also offers some industries for the boys young men to learn from, including handling the cattle, construction, pedigree dog breeding, and farming. The boys are trained marketable skills and a self-confidence from these endeavors.
Teens take part in daily devotions and weekly church services, so they have opportunities to ask questions about life and experience a relationship with Jesus. We provide biblical counseling and ongoing mentorship and spiritual direction.

Elk Grove Village is a municipality located in northeastern Illinois adjacent to O’Hare International Airport and the City of Chicago. Elk Grove Village encompasses Convert in land area with Convert located in Cook County and Convert located in DuPage County, Illinois. The population was 32,745 at the 2010 census. As the name suggests, Elk Grove Village is home to a small herd of elk kept in a grove at the eastern edge of the Busse Woods forest preserve. However, elk are not native to the area, and the name “Elk Grove” actually comes from a mispronunciation of the Native American name for the place. Furthermore, the original elk herd was brought from Montana by an early resident, Busse, in the 1920s.
