We have excellent teachers on our personnel who provide instruction and one-on-one tutoring assistance to the students. At Master’s Ranch, we accomplish both ends of the academic spectrum. The flexible curriculum allows students who may be struggling with certain subjects to accomplish them and catch up. Advanced coursework and a college-prep programs are available for those who excel academically and wish to get ahead.
Our boarding school operates year-round, to keep students involved and to give them the opportunity to catch up or retake courses and improve their grade point average. During normal summer break we run a half-day academic regimen to allow time for projects, sports and recreation.
Boys who have improved their actions and have become trustworthy are given opportunities for work experience in the local economy. It allows them to exercise their new coping skills and to earn money to help them once they leave the ranch. Every dime they earn is put into an account that they withdraw when they leave. The ranch itself also offers some industries for the boys young men to learn from, including handling the cattle, construction, pedigree dog breeding, and farming. The boys are trained marketable skills and a real sense of accomplishment from these endeavors.
Boys take part in regular devotions and weekly church services, so they have the chance to ask questions about God and discover a relationship with Jesus. We give group and individual counseling and life-on-life mentoring and spiritual direction.
