If your son has started down a road to disaster, he could use someone to confide in who will hear him and speak truth to him without judgment. We provide therapy throughout the week, both individual and also in a group setting. Throughout each boy’s stay, we engage them constantly as a friend they can talk to freely, making therapy non-threatening and ongoing in a more natural environment. We maintain a watchful eye, especially in the early days, but we do so while surrounding them with loving care and inspiring them toward a personal relationship with God. We are set up like a family, caring for these boys through their struggles and going through the days alongside them, coaching and teaching them.

Master’s Ranch is a home away from home for adolescent boys from places like Avon, Indiana, who need proper direction to change the course of their lives. Parents bring their boys, age 12-17, to Master’s Ranch after seeing them begin a downward spiral which cannot be stopped by counseling alone.
Boys from Avon, Indiana come to our boarding school to live in a structured environment, learning respect for authority and personal responsibility through a renewed focus on faith, caring for themselves and their future, and through caring for the animals on our ranch. We value education as a privilege, and we teach boys to look at it in the same way.
Boys spend a great deal of their free time hunting, playing sports, and just learning how to enjoy good clean fun again.
We begin with physical training to bring boys up to a minimum level of fitness. They build muscle, their self-esteem improves, and they experience something positive as they begin to see progress in their fitness goals. The same concepts also work well in other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in academics, their positive experiences develop confidence so that boys are built up.
MRCA goes beyond trqditional boarding schools in that it helps boys to mentally understand the consequences of bad actions. Their thinking straightens out and their destructive behavior is replaced with character and integrity. Teens at Master’s Ranch have a reason to succeed.
We have certified teachers on our personnel who offer instruction and one-on-one tutoring assistance to the students. At Master’s Ranch, we accommodate both ends of the academic spectrum. The flexible curriculum allows students who may be having difficulty with certain subjects to accomplish them and catch up. Advanced coursework and a college-prep programs are available for those who succeed academically and desire to get ahead.
Our residential academic program operates year-round, to keep students engaged and to give them the chance to catch up or retake courses and improve their grade point average. During the summers we run a partial academic schedule to allow time for projects, sports and recreation.
After the boys are at the ranch for a time, they have opportunities for work experience in the local economy. It allows them to try out their new coping skills and to earn money to help them once they leave the ranch. Every dime they earn is put into an account that they withdraw when they leave. The ranch itself also provides some industries for the boys young men to learn from, including handling the cattle, construction, pedigree dog breeding, and farming. The boys are trained marketable skills and a self-confidence from these endeavors.
Teens have access to daily devotions and weekly church services, so they have opportunities to ask questions about life and discover a relationship with Jesus. We offer biblical counseling and ongoing mentoring and spiritual guidance.
