If your needs someone to confide in who will listen to him and guide him without judgment, we are here to help. We provide therapy throughout the week, both one-on-one and also in a group setting.

Throughout each boy’s stay, we engage them constantly as someone they can talk to freely, making our counsel non-threatening and ongoing and in a more natural environment. We maintain a watchful eye, especially at the start, but we do so while surrounding them with loving care and encouraging them toward a personal relationship with God. We run like a family, caring for these boys through their struggles and walking through the days beside them, coaching and instructing them.

DSCN0609Founded to Give Boys from Arizona a New Direction in Life

Master’s Ranch is a home away from home for boys from other states like Arizona, who need proper direction to change the course of their lives. Parents bring their boys, age 12-17, to Master’s Ranch after learning that they’ve begun to get in trouble and headed on a downward spiral which cannot be stopped by counseling alone.

Boys at MRCA spend a great deal of their weekends and free time fishing, playing sports, and just learning how to enjoy good clean fun again. They are brought to our boarding school to live in a disciplined environment, learning obedience and personal responsibility through a renewed focus on faith, caring for themselves and their future, and through caring for the animals on our ranch. We view education as a privilege, and we teach boys to look at it in the same way.

We start with physical training with the goal of bringing boys up to a basic level of fitness. They build strength, they feel good about themselves, and they experience a positive achievement as they begin to see progress in their fitness goals. The same concepts also work well in other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in their education, their achievements develop confidence so that boys are built up.

Academic Training for Boys from Arizona

We have excellent teachers on staff who offer instruction and one-on-one tutoring attention to the students. At Master’s Ranch, we accomplish both ends of the academic spectrum. The flexible curriculum allows students who may be having difficulty with certain courses to accomplish them and catch up. Advanced coursework and a college-prep programs are available for those who succeed academically and wish to get ahead.

Our boarding academy operates year-round, to keep students engaged and to give them the chance to catch up or retake courses and improve their grade point average. All summer we run a shortened academic schedule to allow time for projects, sports and recreation.

Helping Boys learn New Boundaries

MRCA goes beyond traditional boarding schools in that it helps boys to mentally understand the ramifications of bad choices. Their thinking clears and their inappropriate behavior is replaced with character and integrity. Teens at Master’s Ranch have a reason to succeed.

Boys who have improved their actions and have become trustworthy are given a chance for work experience in select businesses nearby. It allows them to try out their new coping skills and to earn money to help them once they leave the ranch. The wage they earn is put into an account that they take home with them when they leave. The ranch itself also offers some industries for the boys young men to learn from, including handling the cattle, construction, pedigree dog breeding, and farming. The boys gain marketable skills and a self-confidence from these endeavors.

A Place Where Spiritual Training Leads to Improved Behaviors in Boys

Boys take part in regular devotions and weekly church services, so they have opportunities to ask questions about God and discover a relationship with Jesus. We offer biblical counseling and ongoing mentorship and spiritual direction.
