We maintain a watchful eye, especially in the early days, but we do so while giving them loving care and encouraging them toward a personal relationship with God. We run like a family, loving these boys no matter what and going through the days alongside them, coaching and instructing them.

Master’s Ranch is a new home for boys from places like Ann Arbor, Michigan, who need proper direction to change the course of their lives. Parents bring their boys, age 12-17, to Master’s Ranch after seeing them begin a downward spiral which cannot be stopped by counseling alone.
Boys from Ann Arbor, Michigan come to our boarding school to live in a disciplined environment, learning respect for authority and personal responsibility through a renewed focus on faith, caring for themselves and their future, and through caring for the animals on our ranch. We treat education as a privilege, and we teach boys to look at it in the same way.
Boys spend a great deal of time fishing, playing sports, and just learning how to have healthy fun again.
We begin with physical training to bring boys up to a minimum level of fitness. They build muscle, they feel good about themselves, and they experience something positive as they begin to meet fitness goals. The same concepts also work well in other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in school, their achievements build confidence so that boys are built up.
MRCA goes beyond trqditional boarding schools in that it helps boys to mentally understand the consequences of bad choices. Their thinking straightens out and their inappropriate behavior turns into character and integrity. At Master’s Ranch, we give boys every opportunity to be successful.
We have excellent teachers on our personnel who provide instruction and one-on-one tutoring attention to the students. At Master’s Ranch, we focus on both ends of the academic spectrum. The flexible curriculum allows students who may be struggling with certain courses to master them and catch up. Advanced coursework and a college-prep programs are ready for those who succeed academically and desire to get ahead.
Our boarding school operates year-round, to keep students engaged and to give them the chance to catch up or retake courses and improve their grade point average. All summer we run a half-day academic regimen to allow time for projects, sports and recreation.
Boys who have improved their actions and have become trustworthy are given a chance for vocational experience in select businesses nearby. It allows them to exercise their new coping skills and to earn money to help them once they leave the ranch. Every dollar they earn is put into an account that they take home with them when they leave. The ranch itself also offers some vocational opportunities for the boys young men to learn from, including handling the cattle, construction, pedigree dog breeding, and farming. The boys are trained marketable skills and a self-confidence from these endeavors.
Residents have access to daily devotions and weekly church services, so they have opportunities to ask questions about God and choose a relationship with Jesus. We offer biblical counseling and person-to-person mentoring and spiritual guidance.
